Electronic personnel archive in SAP

We still experience that SAP customers have a paper-based personnel archive. The documents are then physically stored in folders and drawers, and often in different places. This makes it time-consuming to obtain correct information, and it becomes difficult to manage access systematically. In addition, it requires space and proper storage, which can also present challenges. Fortunately, setting up an online archive is quick SAP . There is an electronic personnel archive called Digital Personnel Folder which is easy to set up. The only thing that needs to be in place is a so-called Content server.

Access is controlled via roles and authorizations like most other things in SAP. The setup project starts by defining the folders you need and who should have access to the different folders. You might start by only giving HR access to everything, and then roll out to other groups such as managers and employees. In connection with setting up the Digital Personnel Folder, we have developed tools for mass uploading so that it is faster and easier to go from a paper-based archive to an electronic one.
