How to get control of overtime and overtime

Manually controlling overtime and additional time (for part-timers) in a company with more than 2 employees is a challenge. To keep track of how many overtime hours your employees have worked? And how many hours is it really until they pass the limit of overtime for a week, or for a 4-week period, or for a year?
Being in control of overtime and additional time is extremely important for a number of reasons. First, it is your responsibility, as an employer, to make sure that your employees do not work more than they should. This is important in terms of the physical and mental health of employees. Secondly, it is prohibited for employees to work more than the limits set out in the Working Environment Act. So, how are you going to follow up on this? The first thing to do is to familiarize both yourself and your employees with the current rules. It is not the case that employees are free to work overtime, even if they have a busy working day. Overtime is actually something to be agreed upon, or imposed by you as an employer.

Make sure you have a system that monitors overtime for you

The next thing to do is to make sure that you have a system that follows this up for you. Surely there are many perfectly ok timesheet solutions, which can count the number of hours for you. But wouldn't it be great to have a solution that actually gives you alerts on how your employees are doing, both on a weekly, monthly and annual basis? The good news is that this actually exists! The overtime report in SAP is designed precisely to keep track of this with additional time and overtime for you. We at Sariba have set up this report for many customers over the years, and have seen that by adding a little extra functionality we will be able to make it even better. So we've done that!
