Extended sickness absence statistics

Sariba simplifies sickness absence statistics

We have simplified the reporting of sickness absence with adapted sickness absence statistics.

In SAP HR there is a standard report that calculates the sick leave based on the RTV guidelines (RPTFRVV0). This report can only be extracted in PDF, not in Excel. You cannot change the display of columns or display intervals other than quarterly, and it is only intended to be extracted based on company number or legal number.

As a result, it is not possible to use the report for departments or other parts of the organization. Often there is a need to take the report per month or for other periods, or at a lower level in the organization. It may also be advantageous to be able to present only certain parts of the report to some and the entire report to others. Downloading to Excel also enables you to use the report for other purposes.

At Sariba, we have produced several different reports for different companies with different needs, including sick leave statistics where the purpose has been to:

  • Use the metrics used for RTV for lower levels in your organization, employee groups, and human resources sites
  • Query on periods other than quarter
  • Get information about percentages on both short-term and long-term absence
  • Ask by age
  • Be able to save own variants with different views (layout)
  • Remove the data in Excel for processing

The option has been set up to use several selection criteria for the statistics according to the period for which the report will be run. Here it is possible to choose all the way down to the from/to date. In addition, different criteria can be selected for the actual statistics where one can withdraw it based on:

  • Human resources area and staff sub-area
  • Employee group and employee subgroup
  • Organizational unit
  • Gender

It is also possible to extract the statistics on a combination of the above elements, or omit them to avoid splitting the statistics more than necessary. For example, it is inappropriate to divide by gender if you have very few women or men in parts of the organization.
The RTV statistics are made in one SAP table (ALV) that can be transferred to Excel and used as a basis for other calculations.

The report we have developed requires some adjustment from each customer, but can be applied quickly and easily.
