On 1 July 2022, Norway introduced the "Transparency Act"(Act on Business Transparency and Work with Fundamental Human Rights and Decent Working Conditions) which has the following objectives:

"The Act aims to promote respect for fundamental human rights and decent work by businesses in the production of goods and provision of services, and to ensure public access to information on how businesses address negative impacts on fundamental human rights and decent work."
