Forward-looking and committed are words that describe our newest colleague. We are pleased to introduce you to the newest member of the Sariba family, Cecile Eckhardt. Cecilie comes to us with over 20 years of experience from the IT industry and sales, and brings with her valuable experience when it comes to the customer journey. With the customer in focus, Cecilie enters the role of Sales & Marketing Director and she is already well underway.

Have you met Cecile?

Changing employers during a pandemic is not only easy, but Cecilie has handled this in a very good way. With her open mind and forward-leaning nature, she has become a natural part of our Team Meetings. In order for you to have the pleasure of getting to know Cecilie a little better, we have had a chat with her.

Cecilie, can you tell me a little bit about yourself?

Yes I can! I am a gentle, forward-thinking and committed lady, with over 20 years of experience in customer travel in SAP . I live in Oslo with my cohabitant Martin. I have two grown children that I am very proud of, and I am also so lucky to have two bonus children.

Otherwise, I love skiing, and I go to the mountains as often as possible. In addition, we have an apartment in Spain, which I would like to spend hot summer days in, but naturally there has been little of that now, in 2020. I am also very concerned with design, art and architecture. By nature, I'm probably a little restless and don't understand why things have to take so long. This is reflected in the job I do, and I have an extremely high work ethic. To create some kind of balance, I really appreciate reading a good book, which I do quite often.

Education and career

I was born in Oslo, but have lived in several different places. As a 19-year-old, he moved to Seattle to study economics. When I turned my nose home towards Norway, I first moved to Vinderen where I started in the banking industry, before I packed my things and settled in Sørlandet. This is where I was introduced to IT, SAP and sales. This was new and exciting, and I think it was incredibly rewarding to work in an industry that was constantly evolving. I have never regretted that I started working in sales. Selling is the most fun of all! It is what gives energy, which creates new business and which creates growth. I think that we who work with sales have our own personality type. At least I have a lot of competitive instinct, I do not like to lose, but love competition! It's a lot of fun to win when you're competing with good competitors. During my 20 years in sales, I see that psychology is the same, but the way we do things is different. Is it nice that I'm excited?

Why SAP ?

I have been working with SAP for over 20 years and can say with my hand on my heart that SAP is quality. SAP and SuccessFactors are truly the best in HR systems. I find that customers who have, or are interested in, SAP are the most interesting companies. These are companies that are investing in the future, focus on their employees and are committed to quality. Microsoft and Amazon both run SAP, and that's saying something.

Why Sariba?

When I got the offer to work in Sariba, I was immediately excited. I had heard about SAP SuccessFactors and thought it sounded magical. I already knew about Sariba and liked the idea of working in the company that is the best in Cloud and HR. I am excited to work in a company that is ahead of the game, that thinks new and dares to invest. It suits me and my personality very well.

What are you looking forward to?

I can't wait for Covid-19 to be over! I look forward to being able to get in to customers, and to visit them physically! I'm also looking forward to joining the Sariba gang.

On the private front, I can't wait to travel again, I feel it jerking off in the travel foot. I also cross my fingers that the ski resorts will open for the winter.
