Morten

<- Dette er Morten! En utrolig hyggelig og lun fyr bosatt i Trondheim. Vi håper (og tror) at du vil bli like begeistret for ham som det vi er!

- Can you tell us a bit about yourself Morten - who are you?
- Yes, I can. I'm 39 years old, and I'm both from and live in Trondheim. I have settled here within walking distance of the city centre, which I think is great. After a few years in Oslo, I moved back home during the pandemic, as I felt it was good to get a little closer to both family and friends. Trondheim is a great place to live, but I must admit that I miss the weather (and spring) in Oslo.

When I'm not at work I play golf, as long as it's golfing weather. When it's not golfing weather, I like to play indoor simulator golf. I also enjoy spending time with friends and family, and I wouldn't say no to a game of Fortnite with my friends.

- Can you tell us a bit about your work experience and professional background
- Professionally, I studied economics at the University College in Trondheim. After finishing my studies, I started at DFØ (Directorate for Public Management and Financial Management) in 2007. This is where I met SAP for the first time. In DFØ I have worked with everything from accounting, to first and second line user support in payroll, time, personnel and organization in SAP HR . After this, I became responsible for the subject areas PA/OM and time with responsibility for following up the customers associated with the regional office in Trondheim in these areas. I enjoyed this very much, and I think it was fun to both get to know the customers, and see how my experience and expertise in SAP could help them.

I have immersed myself in both SAP payroll and SAP Time. These are subject areas I have worked with both on the customer and consultant side. It is often the case in working life that you do not always have full control of the circumstances. For my part, one workplace was moved to Stavanger, while another was acquired, and thus many of the conditions changed for me. That's when Sariba emerged as a good alternative.

- Why do you want to work at Sariba?
I have worked closely with Sariba in several of my previous jobs, and when I wanted to change jobs, Sariba was a safe yet exciting option. I already knew many of the staff and I knew that this is a professionally strong organisation. Sariba also had a reputation for being a good and stable employer, which was important to me.

- You will be working on the support and development of Sariba's existing customers, in the Customer Excellence department. How exactly did you end up there?
- I have a lot of experience and good work experience from working in support. I like being able to help a customer and at the same time have the opportunity to dig into different issues. I'm especially happy when I get a nut of a case, where I have to research the solution, use the little grey ones, and figure things out! I like to have something to challenge me, but at the same time I think it's nice to have variety.

As manager solutions in Customer Excellence, I get the opportunity to work on both complex and slightly simpler cases. I get the opportunity to spar with colleagues and to be part of a very strong professional environment. We have expert meetings where we share expertise, discuss professional issues and find new and smart solutions. I appreciate that. In my view, the professional environment is one of Sariba's greatest strengths.

- What motivates you, Morten?
- Getting things done! When I crack a professional or technically difficult nut, I get motivated. I'm also motivated by the idea of getting better at my profession.

- What are you looking forward to, right now?
Spring! I'm looking forward to when I can start golfing again - outside! Simulator golf is fun enough, but after a long period of rain and snow, it will be nice not to hit the golf ball against a wall and get out in the fresh air!
