HR in the Philippines

HR in the Philippines. Our colleague Marit Søderberg is a very competent SuccessFactors consultant. When she got the opportunity to conduct customer training in Manila in the Philippines, this was something she absolutely wanted to participate in. Here is her travelogue:

It's 11:05 and it's Sunday morning.

After making an extensive plan together with Christer (husband) for how the solitaire will go up at home while I am away, I am on my way to Gardermoen. In 20 hours, I'll be in the Philippines! How often can you say that? Not too often, that's why I had to seize this chance.

I think it is incredibly exciting to be part of this trip. One thing is that it is on the other side of the globe, but it has been fun to follow the customer from the start of the project, through all phases and now we are approaching the finish line. Everyone Successfactors modules will soon be in place and now the last phase will be tested. This is so much fun!

When I land, there's no dear mother. We go straight from the airport to the customer's offices where we start training before it is to be tested. We are working on and getting a lot done, there is good progress in the project. The days in Manila are packed with professional content, and there is not much free time. But what I get in Manila is that they are very ready for Christmas, and that here they love both gold and Christmas lights! Despite the fact that it is early November, Christmas lights are everywhere, and Christmas music is played on speaker systems wherever I go. In addition, I get some amazing dining experiences, because even if the program is tight, you have to eat ?

5 days later, the trip goes back to Gardermoen, where it is considerably colder, and the Christmas atmosphere is not as all-encompassing. With me in my luggage, I have gifts for the children and a work experience I will never forget.

Regards Marit
