Kristiania University College and Sariba enter into cooperation

Kristiania University College

Kristiania University College and Sariba enter into collaboration: Together we prepare students for working life!

Our employees and their competence are the most important thing we have. That is why competence and competence sharing are always on the agenda with us in Sariba. We are so concerned about this that it is actually written down in our personnel handbook that it should be developing and working with us (it should also be demanding and fun!)

In addition, we focus on the fact that Sariba is more than a workplace . With us, it is good to work, it is high under the roof and there is room for each and every one of us. There's a reason we talk so much about the Sariba family . So far we will dare to say that we have succeeded well. With us, you will find people of all genders, at different ages, in different life situations, located both in and outside big cities, both inside and outside Norway's borders.

But how do we make sure we feel that way in 5, 10 and maybe 15 years? How do we make sure that the Sariba family grows, and that we fill up with competent, forward-thinking and committed colleagues?

We would very much like to recruit graduates HR and technology students who can go straight into work with us, but is it realistic to expect them to actually know what they will face in working life if we don't get involved and engaged?

I am very proud that we, as a player in the HR industry, have now taken an active part in preparing future colleagues for the world of work.

A win-win collaboration

With this as a backdrop, we in Sariba have entered into a cooperation agreement with Høyskolen Kristiania . The goal is to develop a relationship with a focus on solutions and projects that provide a win-win effect for both parties. We will contribute as a practical partner in the students' projects, and we will also be helpful in some of the students' bachelor's and master's theses. We will also offer internships for students with a relevant background, in addition to having created our very own trainee program .

The agreement was entered into earlier this year, and the collaboration is already well underway. So far, we have 12 students worked on developing prototypes and ideas for new product opportunities in the subject «Change and innovation in practice».

Close to practice and student activating teaching at Kristiania University College

Arne Bjøntegaard, head of the HR Tech program at Kristiania University College, has the following to say about the collaboration:

«Kristiania University College wants students to experience practical and student-activating teaching programs. We also focus strongly on problem-based teaching where students must work independently with relevant issues from the business world. For us, it has therefore been absolutely perfect that 12 students in the course "Change and innovation in practice" in recent months have worked intensively to develop prototypes and ideas for new possible product offerings for Sariba. The students are very satisfied with the support and facilitation along the way and will in the coming weeks substantiate their solutions academically with theory from a self-chosen curriculum. Kristiania University College hopes that this will be the start of a future good academic win-win collaboration with Sariba! »

A collaboration for the future

The general manager of Sariba, Lionel Layerle, is responsible for the agreement on Sariba's part. He is very pleased with the collaboration:

"I am very proud that we, as a player in the HR industry, have now taken an active part in preparing future colleagues for working life. It feels absolutely right that we play our part in their education, and I am delighted to see that the students at Kristiania University College are forward-thinking, committed and professionally skilled. I look forward to seeing the final result of their assignments and to further cooperation. Of course, I hope that the students see what kind of organization Sariba is and that we can be a potential employer for them after graduation. I also hope that they will want to apply to our Trainee program".

If you have questions about the collaboration, you are more than welcome to contact us for more information.
