Do you have control over your absence applications in SAP ?

Leave request is a solution many SAP HR customers have adopted to control the absence process. The employee applies for vacation, the manager approves or rejects the request and the absence is transferred to SAP HR , where the vacation quota is reduced. The process is intuitive and good as long as the steps are followed, but unfortunately it sometimes stops.

We often find that absence applications are left unprocessed. This can create challenges, especially in cases where a manager has resigned without having processed the completed absence applications from his employees.
Unprocessed absence applications will result in the employee not being allowed to apply for a holiday at the next opportunity, nor will the holiday be deducted from the holiday quota.

If the absence application is not processed, the employee will not be notified that the application has been neither approved nor rejected. In some cases, we see that the employee has discontinued the holiday because the employee assumes that the application has been approved. This will lead to the end of the holiday without reducing the holiday quota.

When the holiday quota is not reduced, both automatic and manual processes for transferring unused vacation can cause too many days of vacation to be transferred to the following year.

We can help you clean up and at the same time assist so that you can establish a good routine for follow-up of absence applications.
Sariba has also developed a solution for follow-up of unprocessed absence applications, where a follow-up email is sent to those who have unprocessed absence applications in their inbox. The program can also be used to get an overview of unprocessed absence applications for the administrator.
