2022 was a brilliant year for Sariba. 2022 was the year when we, among other things, expanded the Sariba family with as many as 17 new members! But what is it like to work in Sariba? What are the working days, the working environment and the colleagues really like? Karoline Walen had her first day in Sariba on January 2, exactly one year ago. We have had a chat with her to hear more about how her first year has been.

 

Ever since I started at Sariba, I have had the pleasure of seeing how important and right Sariba is for our customers both during and after projects.

Variety and flexibility

- How is a day at work, Karoline?
- Oh. It is difficult to give a simple answer to this, because it varies a lot!

The working day itself varies both in terms of where it is spent and the tasks that are carried out. I like the combination of home office and "regular" office. Sariba is a very flexible employer and I am free to choose what suits me best. Being able to combine, i.e. working in a so-called hybrid office, I think is the best of the best! It's nice to be able to have time to go for a quiet walk with the dog in the early morning, before the working day starts in the home office. On other days, I get the opportunity to recharge professionally and socially at the office, which I value very much. I really appreciate being able to plan my everyday life so that it fits my life.

When it comes to work tasks, I have a dual role at Sariba. I balance the role as a key account manager with a role within pre-sales. This dual division of my role creates variety and dynamism, and I find that the two roles complement each other well, and that they also strengthen each other. I can draw synergies from one role to the other and vice versa.

My job as a key acoount manager gives me a good understanding of how customers actually use the solution on a daily basis, and I take this with me into my pre-sales role. As pre-sales, I will show potential customers how our solution meets their needs within HR, and what benefits the solution provides. The fact that I know how the solution is actually used is a big advantage. As pre-sales, I also get the opportunity to dive deep into the solution, which gives me a good understanding of the system. I take this understanding with me into the dialogue with my customers.

Talented people and lots of inspiration

- How is the professional environment in Sariba?
- In Sariba, there are an incredible amount of talented and smart people, and I find that inspirational! There are so many who have gone into the depth of their subject, and that is great I love to learn, and I get the opportunity to do that with such talented colleagues. I often catch myself thinking, “THIS IS REALLY INTERESTING! I need to learn more about this"! Knowing that there is a lot ahead of me that I want to learn more about is really motivating.

- What is it like to have colleagues in different countries?
- I find that very exciting! I'm glad that Sariba has so many smart people, everywhere! It is when we collaborate on a customer project that we get to know each other, and I think everyone is both forward-looking and pleasant to work with!

Sariba is an employer who facilitates arrangements for the employees and maked it easy for us to get to know each other across subjects, departments, city and country boarders. In December the entire Sariba family was invited to Oslo, where, among other things, we played curling and had a lovely dinner at Frognerseteren. It gave us an excellent opportunity to get to know each other, and we also gained a decent insight into each other's competitive instincts 😊

- How is the cohesion?
- It is very good. I find that we all have the same goal in mind, no matter where in the organization we are. We all really want our customers to succeed. Everyone shares expertise and this benefits our customers.

- What do you think of Sariba and SuccessFactors ?
- Ever since I started at Sariba, I have had the pleasure of seeing how important and right Sariba is for our customers both during and after projects. Our skilled people have so much valuable experience, and this experience certainly benefits our customers.

- What do you think of Sariba People Centric?
- Sariba People Centric is our package solution, and I have to say: It is fantastic! SAP SuccessFactors is an incredibly good HR system, with unimaginable possibilities. To make it all easier and more manageable for our customers, we have invested time and money in packaging and preconfiguring the solution. In this way, it is much easier to implement. To put it in other words: We have divided the elephant into suitable pieces for the customers. We simply make the project both edible and manageable!

Thoughts on 2023

- What are you looking forward to now?
- I am looking forward to going to Spain to get to know our Spanish colleagues, and I am looking forward to working with even more customers! Otherwise, I am looking forward to when we in 2024 will look back at 2023 and say "Look how we have succeded in Sweden! This is what we were talking about!
